OUR PRODUCTION TIMES

All Cohar Jewellery pieces are packaged or made to order. This means that each piece is unique and made especially for you. Please consult the estimate provided on each individual product listing for specific turnaround times relevant to each piece.

 

If you need a piece before a specific date, please contact us before ordering to ensure this will be possible and to avoid any disappointment. Every effort will be made to have your piece to you as quickly as possible. Please note that turnaround times are an approximate guide and are subject to change or delay.

In-stock, pre-made or pieces that are faster to manufacture have a dispatch time of 2-3 weeks. We aim to post them to you as soon as possible, sometimes faster.

RESIZING

RINGS:

Please reach out to us before purchasing if you are unsure of your ring size. We can guide you on how to best attain the size of you, or a loved one. It's best if we can guess as close as possible to the ring size so that if it does need resizing later, it's within 1 +/- ring size which is less costly.

NECKLACES & BRACELETS:

To make a necklace or bracelet shorter, it's a simple fix. To make a necklace or bracelet longer, we can offer an extension chain to purchase.

SHIPPING & HANDLING

Please note that shipping time does not include production time.

Australian domestic orders are sent Express Post via Australia Post. You will be contacted on dispatch of your order with a tracking number which you can check at www.auspost.com.au

International standard shipping is sent via Express Australia Post. These packages are registered and trackable, you will be contacted on dispatch of your order with a tracking number which you can check at www.auspost.com.au. International standard parcels can take anywhere between 3 and 10 working days to arrive.

Duies ad Taxes

DUTIES & TAXES

Occasionally, dependent on the recipient country and the relevant import laws, duties and taxes may be payable. As the recipient, you are liable for all import duties, customs and local sales taxes levied by the country you are shipping to; payment of these is necessary to release your order from customs on arrival.

FAULTS

Cohar Jewellery pieces are all handcrafted and therefore there will always be some variations between pieces.

Cohar pieces are fine and delicate and should be handled and worn with care. Please see our Care Guide for more information.

 

Normal wear and tear on jewellery items are not considered a manufacturing fault. This includes stretching of a chain. If you feel a piece of jewellery is faulty, or if breakage has occurred, please contact our customer care team and include any images associated.

 

The piece will be assessed in line with our warranty guidelines.  

Gemsones and Care

OUR GEMSTONES

Cohar pieces use predominantly natural stones and lab diamonds where listed. These vary in shade and colour. Stones shown in online images may not always exactly match the stone in every piece, as each stone is unique. This variation is expected and is not considered a fault.

For items where we source stones to order, an image of the stone will be provided before the piece is made. 

GEMSTONES CARE

Any gemstone whether it be natural, or lab created has its own Mohs hardness scale. This determines the strength of the gemstone. Within that, each has its own inclusions, structure and formation which are not indestructible

Gemstones such as pearls, opals, emeralds are delicate and advised to treat carefully and wear on special occasions

REPAIR

Repairs are available and are assessed by case. Depending on the case they may incur a fee. 

REPAIR & REFURBISHMENT POLICY

Our Repair and Refurbishment Policy provides a warranty for manufacturing defects within 6 months of the item being purchased.

If you encounter any issues with your jewellery item due to a manufacturing error within this timeframe, we will assess and repair or replace per each case.

However, please note that any repairs or modifications made by unauthorised parties will void the warranty.

We strongly advise against attempting to repair the item yourself or taking it to a non-Cohar repair centre, as this may cause further damage and result in the warranty being voided.

To initiate a repair or refurbishment request, please contact our customer service team by the contact us page and provide them with your order number and a description of the issue.

Our team will assess the item and determine the best course of action. Once your item has been received, it will be inspected and assessed by our trained technicians to determine the nature of the problem and the best course of action for repair.

Based on the assessment, we will provide you with a quote for the repair and refurbishment services, including any parts, labour, and shipping costs.

Once you have approved the quote and paid any applicable fees, we will begin the repair or refurbishment process.

We will keep you updated on the progress of the repair and provide you with a timeframe for completion. Please note that any repairs or refurbishments performed by Cohar will not affect the original warranty on your item.

WARRANTY

Cohar Jewellery assessed each piece first before determining if it is included under the 6 month warranty. If accepted, we cover the cost of reasonable repairs under normal for the first six months after purchase.

Normal wear is defined by wear that is in line with the detailed instructions in our Care Guidelines.

 

If a piece shows signs of improper care or is damaged in a way resulting from something other than normal wear, i.e accidental damage, we will repair the piece at cost. An estimate of the repair will be given prior for approval by the customer. In the case that a piece requires repair, customers will be responsible for return shipping costs.

  • After 6 months, we will repair pieces at cost. An estimate of the repair will be given prior to the repair for approval by the customer. If a piece cannot be repaired, we will advise. 

  • We offer stone tightening (in an undamaged ring) at a small charge of our jeweller's time and offer replacement of loosened earring butterflies or clasps at a discounted price. 

  • Please note that if any other jeweller undertakes work on one of our pieces, including resizing or repairs, our warranty will be voided. We strongly recommend returning pieces to us for repairs and resizes, we do not take any responsibility for repairs or resizes undertaken by other jewellers, or for the piece once it has been resized or repaired by another jeweller.

  • Please note, sample sale jewellery is not covered under Cohar Jewellery warranty as it is already discounted for such purpose. 

  • Resizing of pieces is undertaken at cost and is quoted on a case-by-case basis. Our customer care team are here to help you determine your accurate size prior to ordering, please reach out for assistance.
